Tech Fuels Success for Business Travelers

Road warriors value IT connectivity nearly as much as a comfy bed, according to a recent business traveler survey from Cambria Suites. The resulting report, entitled "Total Work-Life Productivity of Business Travelers," indicates that survey respondents are facing increased pressures to demonstrate results from their trips. They highly value work-life balance, even while away from home, so they turn to WiFi and other mobile technologies to ensure they get the job done while maintaining close contact with loved ones. "Business travelers are facing greater demands from all sides as they seek to balance their work and personal lives," says Michael Murphy, a senior vice president at Cambria Suites. "In this environment, productivity away from the office is very important." The findings also shed light on other challenges that business travelers face, including their struggles to keep up with healthy eating and exercise routines. More than 400 took part in the research, which was conducted by the Global Business Travel Association Foundation.
