Facebook Privacy Watcher Color Codes Your Privacy Settings

Facebook Privacy Watcher Color Codes Your Privacy SettingsFirefox: Facebook's privacy settings are a little confusing if you don't pay a lot of attention to them. The Firefox extension Facebook Privacy Watcher seeks to correct that by color coding all of your information in a way that you can quickly glance at it to see the privacy settings.

Once Facebook Privacy Watcher is installed, it goes through your data and privacy settings, and then color codes your entries:

  • Green is a public post.
  • Orange is only visible to friends.
  • Red is only visible to you.
  • Blue is only visible to a subset of friends.

Facebook Privacy Watcher makes it easy to see your setting at a glance, and you can quickly change your privacy settings by clicking the post and changing the color. It might not make sense to have it installed all the time, but it could help when you're managing your Facebook privacy settings.
